in search of lions at Sasan-Gir

In his old age, my grandfather used to have nightmares about the lions that were around his village.

Sasan Gir in Gujarat is the last place Asian lions are now found in the wild.

There are still youngsters herding livestock in areas with wild lions, as my grandfather once did.

we weren't the only ones on the lookout for lions

Gir is officially the dustiest national park in the whole wide world
