Tysfjord

A landscape from Tysfjord in northern Norway, up in the Arctic Circle (with a passing nod to NASA's Mars Rover).

This boat, along the water's edge by our jetty, became something of a motif as the tides came in and out.

As in much of the world, there has been unseasonably warm weather here this year...

...but on a late night walk, I caught some fresh snow.

Impromptu snowman left at a bus stop.

We were also lucky to catch a glimpse of the northern lights (aurora borealis).

With only two hours of sunlight a day, the full moon was a blessing, allowing us to enjoy the amazing landscapes.
I'd love to return with more time one spring to explore.
(This time Andy was moving so fast he appears twice in some of my pics!)
