New Beginnings
I'm spending a lot of time in Africa, so it made sense to set up a base.

December and January were unsettled times to be moving in to a new home in Nairobi.

the green of the garden outside my bedroom window is intense, as is the birdsong early each morning

the guest room is cool and quiet

I got used to these prehistoric looking ibis in South Africa - its nice to have them wandering around the lawn again

This was my first home in Kenya since my family left in 1978. I lost my parents soon after.
I instinctively knew I needed to move back, to recover a more integrated sense of myself.
It has been a meaningful, sometimes painful, and challenging process. Nature has helped.
