A friend of mine in America had organised a collection of children's toys at her son's school, which she'd sent to Nairobi. With Heidi's help, we distributed these at one of the Watoto wa Lwanga schools in Kibera.

A few days later we were back in another area of Kibera, with food and gifts for child-headed households.
These gifts came from the Nairobi unprogrammed Quaker Meeting.

 

 

These bags were heavy - over 20kgs - and we'd worried about how these young girls would get them home.

We needn't have worried!
