The sustainable management of the Gambian forest resources in participation with local communities. Results: Management of the Jeloki Forest Park (873 ha) according to an integrated management plan for training and demonstration purposes Introduction and implementation of community forestry in selected areas within the URD (ca. 7,000 ha) though Community Forest Management Agreements (CFMA) and preliminary agreements Finalisation of the second forest mapping and inventory work Strengthening of the URD Forestry Department
