| Major objective of the study is the elaboration of a plan for sustainable use of savannah areas in cooperation with the population concerned looking at selected model areas. The following activities are planned: - demarcation of representative model areas, analysis of the natural resource potential of savannah areas, analysis of the actual resource use with the respective ecological consequences, identification and analysis of the relevant user groups, clarification of the legal framework for the different types of use by the local population, identification of sustainable land use patterns |
