| Main objectives are: - institutional capacity building within the Forestry Department as counterpart institution; - perpetuation of the sustainable management plan for national natural forests in order to include a community forestry compenent under participation of the local population with both elements leading to a comprehensive, sustainable forest management plan which secures the protection of forest resources and the continued supply of important forest products. A suitable political framework has to be established on national level in order to reach this goal. |
