Project Objectives:
To carry out a feasibility study and design study for a programme of support with the possibility of longer term institutional support and establish an integrated and fully operational National Plant Protection Service.

Recommendations for the strengthening of Plant Protection services Improved pesticide regulation with staff trained to train farmers in safe handling and application of pesticides. Improved and extended quarantine procedures. Improved information unit for dissemination of extensive material from NPPS. Strengthened capability for plant protection diagnostic and advisory services
