Project Objectives:
The project purpose is to utilise the national forest estate on a sustainable basis through the
following outputs: Permanent forest estate defined and secured; forest management planning
and research enhanced; knowledge of ecologically sensitive areas developed, economic
information provided that ensures optimal allocation of forest estate within general land use;
mechanisms developed that promote optimal social benefits from the forest estate.
