Project Objectives:
To increase project management capacity in Brazil, especially regarding projects funded by or potentially suitable for funding by DFID, the EC and other European aid agencies.

To contribute to the development of the WWF mission in Brazil by enhancing the relationship between WWF and its Brazilian government and non-government partners.

To liaise with aid agencies and their official representatives in Brazil, particularly DFID and the EC, in the development of joint environmental programmes.

Intended Outputs:
Enhanced management capacity of the WWF Brasilia office.

Improved time and cost effectiveness in the development of proposals for submission to DFDI and EC.

Smoother implementation of existing WWF/DFID projects and development of similar new projects.

An efficient mechanism for allocation of WWF/DFID joint funding scheme grants to projects in the field.

Development of new thematic areas in the Brazil Programme as identified by the WWF Brazil Country Team.

An effective, well-administered and suitably equipped office for adequate implementation and management of the WWF Brazil Programme.
