Rationalisation of sawmill industry: This consultancy will: Visit a cross-section of the hardwood sawmills and review their standard of output and the problems that they face. Design a project that encompasses the following tasks: - conduct a survey of existing sawmills - devise a system of registering sawmills based on criteria such as capital, know-how and local timber resources in the forest identify and introduce measures that will result in reduction in the number of marginal sawmills producing low grade timber wastefully.
