Project Objectives:
To increase the levels of literacy and numeracy of the target population, improve the agricultural skills of the farmers and to help people increase their income and improve their businesses.

Intended Outputs:
Literacy/Management Training:

To train 50 new adult literacy trainers and enable them to open centres in 26 villages.

To retrain 60 existing literacy trainers.

To build and equip 6 new literacy centres.

To provide materials for 18 operational literacy centres

To provide literacy training for the members of project groups.

Agricultural Training:

To train 60 village agricultural extensionists in compost production.

To conduct 15 courses in erosion control for farmers.

To organise 5 visits to other agricultural projects in Mali.

Small Business Development:

To enable people to set up viable small businesses and increase their income, by providing training and loan facilities.
