Project Objectives:
The objectives of the project are to: Be responsible for planning, implementation analysis and interpretation of Solomon Islands programme of research on tree crops, with special emphasis on cocoa and coconuts. Liaise with appropriate institutions in other countries and with international organisations and networks. Provide professional and technical advice to the extension services, replanting programmes and information unit of the agricultural division. Train a national counterpart.

Intended Outputs:
Interpret and write-up information from on-going coffee, cocoa and coconut trials. Production of grafted mangoes, avocados, carambola, citrus and Ngali nuts. Production of coconut production manual. Production of cocoa manual. production of coffee manual.
