Project Objectives:
The objective of the project was: To implement short courses in post-harvest horticulture The first seminar will cover Post-Harvest Handling and be geared towards the export industry for fruits, vegetables and flowers. The second seminar will cover issues concerning crop handling of the major fruits and vegetables produced for local markets To assist the Horticultural Research Centre, via short term TC inputs, to establish a post-harvest facility and advise on the equipment requirement To assist/advise on the requirements and priorities of proposed R&D programme training support and consider the need for future short term inputs.
