To contribute to the achievement of DFIDI’s rural development objectives as set out in the Country Strategy Programme (CSP) and Rural Development (RD) strategy document.

To improve quality of RD project portfolio, by providing support to project partners, and project management for DFIDI.

Intended Outputs

  • Advisory support provided to project partners.
  • Effective procedures for project planning and implementation operational, with full participation of beneficiaries.
  • Effective systems of financial management developed within projects
  • Effective monitoring of project outputs and activities operational, and impact assessment needs identified and implemented.
  • DCO assisted in developing RD portfolio
  • Strategies for the rural development sector identified and developed as a basis for DCO decision making and policy formulation
  • RDO Project management information systems developed.
  • RDO human resource capacities developed
